Arséne DeLay Arsène DeLay is an American singer, songwriter, and musician, based in New Orleans. She is known for her ability to navigate a diverse musical genres, making her challenging to put into a box, gliding from jazz, R&B, blues, rock and roll, to funk and folk. Daughter of an active-duty military father, Arsène spent much her life on the road, starting on Milwaukee’s rich underground hip-hop and poetry scene with Growing Nation, Black Elephant, & Sheree Amore, while finishing her BFA at Marquette University. While advancing in her acting studies, where she would put the Ascona Jazz and Heritage Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the REDCAT Theatre at the Walt Disney Concert Hall under her belt before finishing her Master’s Degree from California Institute of the Arts. She released her critically acclaimed debut album, “Comin’ Home” in 2014, which was award nominated, and featured on NCIS: New Orleans. Her latest collaboration released in August 2019 is “Blue Basso,” where she teamed up with Charlie Wooton (of Royal Southern Brotherhood acclaim) providing lyrics and vocals with musical heavyweights Doug Wimbish(Living Colour), Eric McFadden(Parliament), Anders Osborne,& Sonny Landreth.
