Layla Musselwhite is a New Orleans-based singer songwriter & slide guitarist. Drawing on a rich legacy of blues via her father Charlie Musselwhite, Layla plays guitar in the style of the early blues masters. She grew up on the road, steeped in the music of the greatest blues artists of our time, and as a teenager she started asking for lessons in Mississippi hill country guitar from Charlie. Her live shows feature tightly crafted Indie rock songwriting & French chanson as well as searing blues interpretations, making her one of the most intriguing interpreters of blues today.
